My First Blog!

August 2021

First things first, thank you so so much for partnering with me in ministry! I know I must sound like a broken record at this point, but your support and God's faithfulness has been a massive blessing to me.

My licensing ceremony was this past Sunday, August 1st, and it was so sweet making a commitment to God and the community. I got an opportunity to spend this evening with some dear friends and family. Here's a pic of all the apprentices at UTA with me!

I just returned from my first Staff Retreat, and it was such a great kickoff to the start of a great year! This was a 4 day trip to get to know my team better, focus on God, and prep for this school year. Below is a picture of the UTA Focus staff. These people have already been such a joy to spend time with. They are goofy, talented, thoughtful, and hard-working people who strive to love God and people well.

Next week we get to go to a student leadership conference called SICM. This is a week-long trip where students and staff get the chance to dive deep into what hands on ministry can look like. This is a trip I went on a few years ago as a student, and I'm so thankful to get to go again as a staff member.  I look forward to sharing all the adventures with you on my next blog!

Please keep praying that God would continue to move student's hearts and work through us as we share the gospel on campus. Like many campuses, Focus at UTA looked different than previous years, and it's a major deal that we get to be more in-person this year. God has been so faithful to provide willing students and staff to be the hands and feet of His mission, and it still leaves me speechless that He's been so kind to let me be a part of it.
